The current IRC Code requires Egress Wells that are 44? deep or higher to have a means to climb out of the well. The current IRC Code requires any egress window wells that are 44? deep or greater to have either a ladder or steps to allow for easy exit during an emergency.
All of REDDCO’S Inc. Egress Wells that are made from either Polyethylene or Fiberglass have either a ladder or steps molded into them to meet the current IRC Code requirement.
All REDI-EXIT® Economy Series or REDI-EXIT® Compact Economy Series Galvanized Egress Wells that are 44″ or deeper require a separate Egress Well Ladder to meet the current IRC Code requirement.
Economy Series Egress Well Ladders are made from white powder coated steel that matches the white finish on REDDCO?S REDI-EXIT® Economy Series Egress Wells.
These Economy Series Egress Well Ladders are available in three sizes; a 3-rung size to fit the 48″ deep Economy Series Egress Well; a 4-rung size to fit the 60″ deep Economy Series Egress Well; a 5-rung size to fit the 72″ deep Economy Series Egress Well. Each ladder rung is 12″ from step to step, and projects 4″ into the well meeting all current IRC Code requirements.
Economy Series Egress Well Ladders hook onto the top of the Economy Series Egress Wells and is permanently fastened by using screws to attach the bottom of the ladder to the Egress Well.
